Meet the Author: An Atlanta native, I earned AE degree from Southern Polytechnic Institute (Southern Tech), and a BS and an MBA from the University of Alabama in Birmingham, while working at the Medical Center full time. My first Hospital CEO position was with Hospital Affiliates International, Inc. at St Thomas Hospital in Colby, Kansas, becoming the youngest administrator in the company's system. Over the next thirty plus years, I served as CEO at other hospitals and in multi management corporate positions with large health care companies. In 1990 I founded Quality HealthCare, Inc., a company specializing in the treatment of psychiatric and addiction disorders. After selling QHI I decided to pursue another dream ... writing, while continuing to provide a limited amount of health care consulting.
